One of the joys of sailing is the ability to spend many days away from everyone and everything. But one might wonder: Isn’t that boring? What are you going to do all day? Is it even possible? What are you going to eat? Don’t worry. With correct use of supplies it is possible to stay in a beach away from everyone up to a week at least!
Not everyone enjoys this type of isolated vacation, so if you are not sure about it , remember, you can always return in one of the many small villages , which are in an hours distance from wherever you are here , in the Messinian Gulf. Those villages are full of life, tourists and many great places to visit! Check them out. Finikounda, Methoni, Pylos, Koroni, Kardamili and many more!
Our sailing boat has many comforts, one of which is the fridge! Of course it is not as strong as it is in a home but if one chooses their supplies wisely, with many snacks, ice, fruits and in general, products that are not too sensitive, it will be easy to plan a menu each day!
Then one wonders, what is there to do in a beach for a week?
First of all relax, away from all worries because there you can be unreachable from the troubles of daily life. Pack a few books and magazines with you, board games and a lot of sunscreen because you will probably be swimming all day. On board you ‘ll find a few beach balls , masks and flippers for endless games in the sea.
When you return prepare to miss it, but also prepare to be full of energy!
A romantic sailing story for Valentine’s Day
Many years ago, a young couple from Paris took a trip with our sailing boat, travelling around the Peloponnese. At the end of that trip, they invited their friends and family onboard and had a beautiful marriage ceremony. Sure of their commitment to each other, they were ready to start their life together. Today they are still going strong.
Couples have to overcome many difficulties over time, and the hardest one is living together.
A sailing boat is the perfect place to test your relationship. A space very similar to a small apartment, where you need to share the workload and be around each other for many hours at a time. Kalamata , The Jewel of Peloponnese.
Kalamata (Greek: Καλαμάτα Kalamáta) is the second most populous city of the Peloponnese peninsula, after Patras, in southern Greece and the largest city of the homonymous administrative region. The capital and chief port of the Messenia regional unit, it lies along the Nedon River at the head of the Messenian Gulf.

While on board you can also arange, with our help, tours all around the Peloponnese, Pylos is only a few hours away where you can visit the famous beach Voidokilia, Nestor’s Palace, Navarino, Sapientza (where you can see the largest lighthouse of the Mediterranean Sea ) . All that only on the West! If you travel East of Kalamata after only one hour you can find beautifull Kardamyli, Stoupa, Monemvasia, Diros Caves and many more other places!
